I really, really like Dukem. It's a good lunch or dinner and makes for great leftovers. I have nothing bad to say about Dukem so I'll throw out some warnings for those who may not have been there before: Some of the food is pretty spicy. If you have a delicate, baby-like, danish palate like I do, it might be a little much. The beers are good but they're also $6 each... that's just something to keep in mind before you go ordering a whole bunch of 'em. Finally, it has been my experience that the servers always try to get me to order wayyy more than I need (although too much Dukem is never a bad thing). Finally, the most important warning: You should most definitely opt for the "with fish" option for whatever you get. The fish is battered with love and fried in magic. In case that was unclear, it's delicious. Enjoy.

Neighborhood: Mount Vernon Category: Bars, American (Traditional)A great place for a drink after work or with friends. The rosemary-garlic fries are a must and I'm a fan of the 'session' brew, Beacon Ale. It gets pretty crowded on the weekend nights, but otherwise is a great place to grab good food and drink.

Neighborhood: Guilford Category: Vegetarian, VeganThis is by far my favorite vegetarian place in the city when I'm going for meat-like food. When I take non-veg friends and suggest they try fake-meat entrees they're always a bit reluctant but pleased when the food arrives. I'm a big fan of the FBLT (fake bacon, lettuce and tomato).
