Went for lunch, but wish I had more time to look around the shop, where there were all sorts of things to look at you that don't get to see at Safeway each week.
Small, casual seating area.
Deli (it's over to the right) had sooo many things on the menu I'd want to try. (Old World sandwich = yumzie)
What they say about the meatball sandwich is true -- as he ate his, my friend was being watched, enviously, by the 400+ lb. gentleman sitting nearby. He asked about it, later.

There MIGHT be a better Italian deli in the city, but I'm not going to waste any time looking for it, when I could be eating at this one.
If I'm overly enthusiastic, it's only because I wish I could escape the office to have lunch there more often.

Very small, casual bar with decent Aussie beers by the bottle: The ESB is nice and so is the wattle(?) beer--definitely dark & chocolatey, but not heavy & thick like Guinness.
Cans of Fosters are available to drink, but are better used as decorative lampshades over the bar.

Cash only, though there is an ATM inside. ($2 surcharge) So annoying. Hope they get a credit card machine asap.

VERY slippery floor due to the crushed peanut shells everywhere. I wore flats and was still slipping & sliding around. (The plus side: you can relive your ice-skating-across-the-kitchen-floor-in-socks days.)

Hands-down best part about Billabong: the big, burly bartenders with handsome Australian accents!
