Yellow Dog Tavern
Neighborhood: Canton Category: American (New)Recently had a pretty good experience at the Yellow Dog. The food was slightly above average. The Fried oyster Po Boy special was quite good, except for the lousy bread that couldn't hold it all together. The small bite Mac and Cheese was to die for. I'd say it would even give the Wine Market's mac and cheese a run...
Recently had a pretty good experience at the Yellow Dog. The food was slightly above average. The Fried oyster Po Boy special was quite good, except for the lousy bread that couldn't hold it all together. The small bite Mac and Cheese was to die for. I'd say it would even give the Wine Market's mac and cheese a run for it's money. The vegetarian side dish entree had some delicious elements to it, but it would've been nice to have some other more creative vegetarian offerings for Amy to choose from.
Enough about the food; the warmth and hospitality of the staff was what made it a great night out. Great beer selection and great televesion (Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations re-runs...), and great compnay from our bartender Beth. We're certainly looking forward to our next time back to the Yellow Dog.
