What can you write about The Helmand that hasn't been written before. Consistently on every list of baltimore's best restaurants and doing it without the standard cuisine typical of restaurants so highly lauded.
to be concise;
1. Outstanding food - although before going to the helmand i wouldnt know afghani food if i tripped over it, the fare served here is fantastic for both the carnivore and the vegetarian.
2. Inexpensive - apparently the computer they use to change the menu does not have numbers past 5 because the prices never seem to vary and are locked into a very affordable range
3. Charming - the setting both inside and out works very well for a nice night out

Neighborhood: Federal Hill Category: Barsi hate to tell anyone about this place because it runs the chance of ruining the best bar in baltimore, but since the place itself will usually scare off any accidental tourists (see: losers) i am not scared to say it. go in, sit down, read the rules, and chill. its that easy.
