This place has fantastic pizza and great drink specials. Pitchers are only $6.50 regularly so at $5 during happy hour its a steal.

I went to Turps for lunch after class today. Terps is the new sports bar in Mount Vernon, FINALLY! The decor is typical sports bar with big screen tvs everywhere and plenty of pictures of Ray Lewis hurting people. The food is predictably delicious, not surprising since it's owned and operated by the same crew who own Jay's Deli and XS. The menu is classic american bar fare, but with up scale twists. The burgers are served on pretzel rolls and the jalapeno poppers are made with red jalapenos that are sweeter than the green variety. Both are absolutely delicious.

Prices run average to low. For an appetizer, sandwich with chips, and a Natty Boh I forked over a meager $11.

The Natty Boh's are the long neck bottled variety, a nice switch from the cans you find at most other bars in my opinion.

The wing flavor selection is impressive with at least 8 possible sauces for them to be tossed in. The wings were acceptable, nothing spectacular, but still pretty good.

This is a perfect bar for the kind of sports fan that would rather hang out in Mount Vernon than Canton or Fed Hill on game day. Think team polo rather than torn jersey. You'll find me there on game days.
