Behold the Teavolve trifecta - Belgian waffles, free wifi and insanely good drinks. I'm loving the new Teavolve in Harbor East. Their new sleek and modern digs have quickly become my goto cafe for everything from lunch meetings to 5-hour work sessions. Their always-expanding food menu includes fabulous Belgian waffles with organic fruit, paninis, fresh muffins/pastries and crepes coming soon. While their Eastern Ave location only serves tea, this spot adds a variety of coffee drinks (try the blended ones!) and bubble tea. Careful on the bubble tea straw sucking...can you say choking hazard?

Service overall is good, but can be spotty. We've had some shift changes during our visits and after that you are usually on your own. It's not a huge deal as I prefer the pressure-free vibe especially if I'm there for a while. All in all, Teavolve is a great addition to the area and I love that there is always seating -- which cannot be said for Bluehouse anymore. My only complaints? More outlets and more AC! Around midday the sun turns that back area into a sauna. Not ideal for a tea house but I know those BGE bills are killer. Those Belgian waffles somehow make everything better.

I can no longer describe Teavolve as an endearing little tea cafe. Their new outpost is about 3 times the size, and 110% grown-up gorgeous airy chic. Of course, their Fells Point location still exists. But sadly, it will only be open on weekends, presumably for afternoon tea.

Here's what did remain: the same extensive menu of loose leaf teas, and creative smoothies, lattes, and fizzes. No coffee served here, but the multiple flavors of chai latte should be a good substitute.

More exciting is what's to come: tea-inspired cocktails! Teavolve is awaiting a liquor license that will allow them to make full use of their beautiful loungey interior. A perfect way to keep the drinks flowing after the first round at Landmark.
