Overpriced. $3.50 for chips and salsa feels absurd when it is free at every other mexican spot.

Must agree that the fish tacos are the highlight here. I must have them once a week for lunch. Topping them with cilantro, lime juice and the right hot sauce is the key. But, if you're really hungry, I recommend the Mole Platter - it's tasty and a hefty amount of food - a good value given the high cost of food in this Harbor East neighborhood.
I would not classify the food as Tex-Mex - I grew up in South Texas, to college in
Arizona, and also cooked in a Mexican restaurant. California Mex - yes, maybe that fits better. And I DO miss good Tex-Mex. Haven't found the genuine article in this town yet.
I'm always delighted at how fast they serve here. I only have experienced service during the lunch hour, though.
If they served chips with full meal purchases, I would be there twice a week for lunch if not more often.

Capable, expedient upper-midmarket California-style Tex-Mex, with an emphasis on freshness. Salsa bar has plenty of interesting options at first glance, though flavors don't seem to vary too much. Seemingly quite popular with the Harbor East afterwork yuppie crowd.

I've been a fan of Taco Fiesta for quite some time for many reasons. Mostly due to the fact that Jerry, the owner is a great guy, he makes fresh homemade traditional Mexican fare and it's close to my condo. This weekend I added another reason, the Chicken Mole. Available in either Burrito or Platter style, Sunday’s Special will become a menu staple shortly. Jerry recommended the Burrito, I didn’t refuse and chose to have black beans instead of refried. The huge, freshly made stuffed-to-the-breaking-point tortilla was served with a side of guacamole. I must pause and praise this simple, yet so fulfilling condiment. I’m guessing it’s scratch made, just simply concocted from newly picked avocados, garlic and onions; oh so flavorful. The chicken mole was spectacular. Smoky, nutty and spicy with a kick of Mexican cacao. I ate it so fast, I’m not sure what else was inside, possibly some rice and the black beans. I am truly impressed with Taco Fiesta’s version of Chicken Mole, that I will be ordering this classic Mexican delicacy again and again. Thanks Jerry!

After ordering at the counter and waiting at a table for a few minutes the fishies arrived. For $3'ish dollars a piece, the fish tacos were excellent. I will definitely be stopping by often for a quick bite or a carry out. While the decor is lacking, and looks like it is a fast food joint the food is worth coming back for.

I went out to lunch with a friend I used to teach with in Harbor East to a place called Taco Fiesta. I let her pick the place and her friend owns it. It advertises fast, fresh and fun Mexican food that comes from generations of passed down recipes from the owner's family. . It is set up food wise like a Chipotle or Qdoba but has a full bar. It offers things such as burrito, tacos, quesadillas, and many more. It has a bright and fun dcor and has a classic rock music playing.
It has a salsa bar that has salsas that are made from scratch every morning. On the wall above the bar is a layout and explanation of each salsa. They also have a 26-ingredient Enchilada sauce that I would like to try. The guacamole and chips are also made fresh every day. They use no lards or oils when they make the beans every morning. The steak is lean and hand trimmed. The white chicken breast is lean and skinless.
I got the Fiesta Meat burrito with rice, beans, Jack cheese, Fiesta Salsa, and roasted seasoned pork ($8.39). I then personalized it into a Chimichanga- they deep fry the burrito to a golden brown and serve it with lettuce, tomato, guacamole and sour cream (add $2.79). It was very good and the shell had a perfect crunchiness. The meat had a nice little spice to it and the beans and rice were perfectly cooked.
We were there during lunchtime and it had a nice crowd. The also have tables to sit at outside. They have a full bar and offer many happy hour and daily specials (check the website).
The food and atmosphere were both really good. I will go back again!
