Salt is destined to become a Baltimore main-stay restaurant. the food is well crafted, interesting and always highly satisfying. the chef changes up the menu every other month or so, you are always in for some new seasonal options. if there is any lamb item on the menu - get it! it comes from some farm in the midwest & is the best red meat you have never had - far more flavorful than any steak i have had. the bartender Paco is always creating interesting seasonal drinks that you have to check out. the white sangria over the summer was fabulously sublime.

going to be a little higher on the price scale, so you may not hit it every week, but it will be worth it. parking can be tough, but if you get there just before 7pm you are sure to get parking & a spot at the bar. i go there way too much so therefore i know too much...

How disappointing. I will not likely go back again. I chose Salt for my birthday dinner last night to which I invited a few friends. I was unable to focus on the food because we were constantly being reminded that they had other reservations following us. We made reservations several weeks ago for 6 at 6. We were called to confirm and we admonished to be on time, so we were harassed about not taking too much time BEFORE we even arrived. Then one of the first thing the waitress did was let us know that there was a reservation for our table at 8. Two hours is plenty of time, but still, throughout the meal, there was this constant sense of rush, rush, rush. Three of us at the table have previously waited tables before and we were getting a little ticked off at the clear message that we should not relax.

I might point out that last year the place was elbow to elbow. Not this time. Perhaps many others were rushed through their meal also. There are too many other great restaurants in Baltimore to put up with that kind of service. The food, as much as I can remember through the haze of harassment, was quite good.

Flavors are exquisite; the foie-Kobe slider lives up to the hype. Everything is seasoned impeccably. Menu is audacious and adventurous without being precious. Service was considerate, friendly, knowledgeable and timely.

Tried SALT for the first time this weekend. The food was truly the best I have had in Baltimore in years. From the duck fries which were supperb, to the delicious rock fish served with the crab empanada to the donut holes, everything was outstanding. It is good to know that we have restaurants like SALT in Baltimore. They are approachable and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a great meal. I will be back to this place many many times.

I love pretty much everything about Salt. The menu is always surprising, inventive, and delicious. The atmosphere is sophisticated but not pretentious. Wonderful service. I've been there more times than I can count and not once been disappointed.

Hidden deep in fells point, this is a diamond in the rough. We didn't have reservations so we were seated at the bar which couldn't have been more fun. The food was great, especially the pork belly, it melted in my mouth. Even better may have been their alcoholic concoctions from the top shelf bar. I would recommend...

I would recommend this place for an appetizer and a drink.

This has to be one of my favorite places to eat and enjoy a few drinks. I love the pomegranate margarita!!! They are a bit strong but go down so easily. Salt and sweet and a bit of a kick, what a great combo. Duck fat fries are also a good staple. Their menu changes enough that you can go back often and fall in love...

Everything is delicious and the menu changes often. My favorite is their fresh pepper-crusted tuna with a ginger soy sauce. It's accompanied by tuna pot stickers which are more like empanadas. Or as I call them, "oh wow mmmmmm." But seriously, you need to try the fries. And don't tell me that fries are fries. These fries are on another level. Go now. I'll be the guy sitting alone ravaging three orders of fries and wiping aioli dipping sauce from my face.
