Shrimp, salami, cheese, and the creamy deliciousness of their house salad dressing are the perfect topping for a little bit of lettuce, tomatoe, pepperoncini and olives. It's a little piece of heaven in a bowl. My other favorite is the eggplant parmesan-- a little spicy, with the perfect blend of sauce, cheese, crunchy breaded coated-- and it actually tastes like eggplant! This is not exactly diet food, but the occasional slurge is necessary. (and they are open late with a limited menu)

Ok, so I've only been here once, but I was unimpressed. It was more like a cafeteria than a place I would buy a $15 plate of noodles and sauce. Maybe I'm cheap, and maybe I expect too much, and I know this is a landmark institution in Bmore, but I don't think I'll go back soon.
The dining areas are loud and brightly lit. The food was slapped out on the table. The server rushed us thru dinner, hoping, I think to quickly turn the table on a Saturday nite. And my plate of fetticini alfredo was lukewarm at best. I had to ask the server for parm. It's an Italian restaurant... why isn't there parm already on the table?? Then she never came back! So I was forced to turn to the table behind me to beg for their condiments. I didn't have alot of time... my already lukewarm plate of noodles was starting to coagulate. The bread was nothing special; probably purchased at Giant and not warmed. And the butter was cold. So I think I'll try other places in Little Italy before I make an excursian back here.
