Absolutely wonderful!!!!!

I was recommended by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. The infamous fried pickles were great and so was the PB&J Delight. This place has a wonderfully private atmosphere.

Rocket to Venus is a nice addition to Hampden. The menu is imaginable and food is prepared and plated well. I especially recommend the ginger beer mixed drink-I have a penchant for ginger beer and they do it very well. Perhaps a bit pretentious for its own good, Rocket to Venus has a sleek interior, but I have found the staff to be a bit snobby. Our waiter seemed quite put out when my friend and I disagreed with the order in which he was planning to bring out our plates. Only bonified hipsters are welcomed warmly, but it is Hamden after all so it is, perhaps to be expected. Rocket to Veunus worth going to for delicious casual dining in Hampden.

Smart, eclectic scene. Smart, eclectic menu, with some well-received Asian inflection. The roast brussels sprouts will reinvent your childhood. Attentive, capable service. Relaxed, inviting retro-futuro space. Scene ranges from young couples, to the finest of Hipster Hampden, to genteel retirees.

Three of us went there last month. on week night.
'Medium' burger was well done and charred. Fries would have been good if they had not been ice-cold.

Wonderful food, excellent atmosphere and funky service. I would eat there every day if I lived in the neighborhood. The brussel sprouts were the best.

I really liked the Wimpies (sliders) and was amazed when my 15 year old nephew could not finish the gigantic cheese steak. A fun place, good for all ages. It got points for "weirdness" from my family. I also appreciate that they do take reservations.

Cheap and good for both food and beers.

It took me until my 4th trip to get something other than the Jambalaya and the Andouille, Shrimp & Grits was my friend's vice. I finally tried something else, the Szechuan Noodles, and was equally impressed.

The staff is on point and the music in the jukebox is always playing just the right song.

Maybe I'll get down there one Sunday to watch a movie on the projector.
