Also I like to dress nice...business casualish or you can get fancier if you'd like. The sangria and cotton candy martini are my favorite drinks. Great ambiance with dim lighting and good music!

Baltimore's most overrated restaurant. Great ambience. Mediocre food.

Like everyone else has said, Pazo is a beautiful space. The wine by the glass is pretty fairly priced, but cocktails get a little pricier than those to which the Fell's Point crowd is accostomed. The service, for the most part, is top notch. Something to be expected considering Pazo is the younger sister-store of Charleston.
The food was fantastic. We stuck with tapas, as that's the best bang for your buck, and it IS a tapas joint after all. The torro crudo was delicious, a sign not necessarilly of a great cook (since it's raw), but of selection of the finest ingredients. The pork confit really blew me away, though. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere is the one thing that's always bothered me about Pazo, though. Even some of the staff that I spoke with admitted that the whole too-cool-for-school vibe is getting old. Speaking of getting old, cougars were everywhere, along with their male counterparts...it wouldn't have surprised me to see Dan Akroyd and Steve Martin's "Two Wild and Crazy Guys," show up.

Beautiful space. Mezze and tapas are excellent. Bother with the entree plates only if you *really* don't trust the people you're dining with; otherwise, you're missing the point. Cocktails and wine selection are superb. Corporate yuppie/cougar scene is brain-damaging, if you eavesdrop too much.

Definitely pair the Cava with the Manchego & Green Apple dish.

You can't beat Pazo's atmosphere. Makes any night feel special. Their tunno crudo is possibly the best thing I've ever tasted.

We had the dinning for two menu (winter selection) and both of us were impressed with the food and the progression of dishes. Perfectly timed, we never felt rushed and when we were done with one dish the other came out. Yes, it is a bit pricey but worth it. I thought it was the best meal out that I had last year!

We tried some new drinks.
Cava Royale- sparkling wine with peach nectar & fresh lime?
The Euro-?
french martini with fresh raspberries?
For dinner we got the Pazo's simple table for six $195. Which was:
Pizza catalan and pizza Bianca
Manchego & manzana
Tonno Crudo
Pugliese
Romaine Hearts
Spinachwith pine nuts
Sauteed Merluza
Shrimp with garlic & tomoato
Trofie alla norma
Pinchitos andalucia
Bistek catalonia
A trio of sharp artisanal cheeses
Cannoli alla siciliana ith bittersweet chocolate
Around 9pm the music kicked in. We had a great time! There were 7 of us! All
of the
food was to die for!

They should change the name of this place to Paz-WHOA! or Paz-OHHH! because those are the sounds you make when you eat the food. We stuck to the Tapas menu when we went and I'd say just over half the dishes were amazing-- do not pass up the Anchovies and the Broccoli (Let me devote an entire parenthetical to the best Broccoli I've ever had-- infused with lemon juice and chili oil and topped with Grana Padano--and you thought broccoli was a boring vegetable!).
Despite the fact I'd heard a lot about Pazo before dining there, I was caught off guard by it's Chicness. When I first walked in, it felt more like a club than a restaurant. At first I was intimidated by the necessary Valet parking and the posted dress code outside the door-- but was quickly learned it was all bupkiss as almost all the men failed to wear sports jackets with their designer t-shirts. Doesn't anyone follow the rules anymore?
As you might expect, Pazo runs a little expensive, but they definitely give you a lot of production value for the money.
