We really like Langermann's. We went there Saturday night. It was nice to find a place where the staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. I ordered the Pork Chop - it was great. My date had the Grilled Salmon and it too was really good. We will be back!

Excellent happy hour specials! The Asian shrimp (is that redundant?) are awesome, love the sweet potato side dish!! The appetizers are $5 from 5-7pm! They also have nice wine specials at happy hour too! The bartender looks just like Jim Carey! Good service too.

Two people at our office @ Anchorage Marina ordered the tomato bisque with crabmeat and it was not worth the $6.95. It tasted like marinara sauce and two TINY pieces of crab meat. Where was the lump of crabmeat? Although the hamburgers were very good! GREAT! So, we will return for the hamburgers but definately not...

The new owners did a great job remodeling the interior of what used to be the Kiss Cafe. The bar space is large and airy while the tables and booths feature white tablecloths - a nice touch. A separate seating area is available in the former loft section and can be reserved for private parties.
We enjoyed everything we ordered; we started with the "L.A. Wings" (still don't see how they're "southern inspired" or what they have to do with Los Angeles but I don't care since they were delicious!), the fried green tomatoes, and the wedge salad which was hearty but didn't spoil our appetite. We split the blackened catfish club sandwich and turkey with apple and brie; the former was a bit greasy but tasty, the latter just the perfect combo of flavors. We found the staff to be cheerful, efficient and eager without being overbearing. All in all, a great place, and family friendly (they have a kids menu, highchairs and crayons with paper placemats for the little ones). We'll definitely be back...

OK, precursor to this review: Langermann's opened this past Tuesday (after a super long and many times postponed wait) and it's only Friday. They are still getting up and running. The bright side about coming tonight was that the place was more or less empty, so service wasn't an issue. Servers were getting up and running with the menu and offerings so they sometimes had to research answers to my basic menu questions, but they were still very helpful and quick.
Food was really good. All in all, we spent roughly $70 on a dinnerl for two including one appetizer, two beers, two entrees, and one dessert with two coffees. Not a bad deal!
For an appetizer, we had the LA wings with the asian sauce -- they were exceptional. Sweet and just spicy enough, they were delicious. For the entree, I had the braised rib and it was nothing special. However, my fiancee had the herb roasted chicken and it was exceptional. I highly recommend it.
Dessert was incredible -- the key lime pudding cake. Seriously, it was so good -- our only complaint was the size of the dessert. It was pretty small, especially for two people to share.
Beer selection was extremely good too -- PBR, Yuengling, Sam Adams on tap. No complaints there.
I'm definitely looking forward to coming back here for breakfast or lunch -- they said that they would be starting to offer breakfast next week.
