A review I read had me expecting a more casual, neighborhood-y version of the old Vespa spot. What I got was a gorgeous renovation that doubled the space, but kept the same style of comfy simple dishes with a gourmet touch.

Juniors stays true to its wine bar claim by pairing each app and entree with one, sometime two (red or white) wine picks. Both of our matches went well: a crisp old world white punched up the mellowness of the Boursin cheese on a shrimp pizza. Even better was the fruity white paired with my hearty roast (braised?) pork stew over penne. This, by the way, is a much more accurate (and appetizing!) description than the "Penne with Meat Sauce" plunked on the menu.

All in all - good flavorful food, but probably a bit overpriced for what you get. I'd still rather spend my money on Salt or Jacks... sorry, Federal Hill.
