Joe Squared is a fabulous casual hang out. The pizza is excellent (I would say on par with Iggies), but the menu is not limited to pizza; their other dishes are solid. Local bands can frequently be heard live on the Joe Squared stage, and the ambiance is relaxed. There is almost nothing better than hanging at Joe Squared with Chimay, pizza, and live music.

Got a straight-up cheese pizza and was blown away. This is some delicious gourmet pizza, and I'm hooked. I'm already looking for the next free evening when I can drag my wife out there for a bite. I was playing in one of the bands at Joe Squared that night, so I can't say much about the price or the wait - the pizza was part of our pay, and I'm not sure when we actually placed the order. If it's an hour wait as others have said, I'd say it's worth it. Get an appetizer and some beers and just chillax.

I had the opportunity to check out Joe Squared yesterday. This place had been on my must-visit list for a while now. I am glad to say that the anticipation was worth it. I decided to try to spaghetti meatball pizza. Thin-crust with great flavor topped with spaghetti, meatball pieces, onions, tomatoes and peppers. I liked it so much I ordered an extra one to take home to the family. Best pizza in town? That's for someone else to decide. Is it a good pizza, worth both the money and the extra effort to make it out to that side of town? Most certainly

When you're really hungry for a delicious and unique pizza, Joe Squared definitely hits the spot. Our favorite is the BBQ Chicken pizza. Yum!

Tasty pizza. Great LIVE music events. This is a cool place in an up and coming arts & entertainment neighborhood.

Good pizza, and interesting, like mushroom and goat cheese, or Hawaiian with bacon and cilantro. The pizza tastes like it is made of real food. It is a little pricey, ok it is the most that i have paid for pizza i think ever, but it tastes real, and that is hard to find.

Bad service, too expensive. Food is decent, but not world beating. However, I really appreciate them taking the risk of opening at North and Howard, and trying to expand the MICA neighborhood and revitalize North Ave.

Spaghetti and meatball pizza. That's all you need to know. So far I haven't found a reason to cheat on my precious little pizza with any other dishes. It is just that good. Totally worth a 20min drive to North Ave and what will probably be a decent wait. Their new high-tech coal-fired oven gives a nice char around the edges. And perhaps black lung, but that won't be for at least a few years. I digress. Here's a quick tip -- the pizzas are square so a 14 inch is pretty huge. Split a 12 inch and you'll save some cash and still walk away stuffed. Just don't go expecting Pasta Mista prices. Someone's gotta pay for all that coal that powers the oven of wondrous delights.

The pizza was incredible, but the wait was ridiculous. Gotta get an app if you go there. I have the Buffalo Chicken, and although a corner or two were a bit burnt, the flavor of the dough, fresh avocado and cilantro were off the wall. I will go again for sure.

Funky joint on North Avenue in a non-descript hole. Bar counter top looked like there was water spilled all over but happened to be just a bad poly-urethene (sp?) job. We ordered wings and got them in a reasonable amount of time, 15 minutes, enjoyed a very cheap pitcher of Irish stout and waited for over an hour for our 12 inch pie. Wow. Long wait and no one seemed to care that our wing bones were staged in front of us for the better part of that wait. Live indy rock a bonus at the end of the night, but don't go hungry or you'll want to beat someone up.
