In the search of the Best Place to enjoy a tremendous brunch, we stopped @ Gertrude's... Recommended by the Zagat, we were expecting a wonderful place for a tasty brunch! Indeed, the place is gorgeous! I do recommend the outdoor seating! I ordered some Tilghman Island Eggs Benedict with fried Oysters and my wife tried the Gutman Avenue Eggs. I was completely satisfied with my brunch. My wife is still lookin' for the Salmon... Some shredded salmon was completely lost in too much dill... And the potatoes looked like a purée! As dessert, we shared the Dark Rum Caramelized Bananas Buttermilk Pancakes. It was very tasty, even if we would have loved more bananas and sauce. In conclusion, Gertrude's is a good place for brunch but Miss Shirley's is still my favorite place...

I have dined here many times and have always walked away pleased. I would suggest looking into this place for you next business or family food event. It doesn't matter if it's a dinner, lunch or Sunday Brunch. The specials on Tuesdays are not water downed menu items, go on a Tuesday to see what you like and then invite that speacial someone out for a romantic weekend outing. I remember my first meal there, Salmon Al'bella while sitting in the sculpture garden next the fountain. Enjoy.

I went here with some friends for their Tuesday night special were they have $10 and $12 entres from the regular dinner menu.
The place was very nice and the decor was perfect.
I started with the Cream of Crab Soup with lump crab and scented with sherry (normally $6 for a cup but Tuesdays it $4). I had the Portobella Crab Imperial-grilled marinated portobella mushroom piled high with crab imperial and served with savory rice (the rice needed more flavor) and vegetables (normally $24 but Tuesday it $12. For dessert we split the Bread Pudding which was the BEST I have ever had!
The other people tried:
The crabcake platter for $18 (they have a special platter for $12 on Tuesdays)
A Berry Good Salad $10- field greens, fresh berries, goat cheese, toasted pistachios & a berry vinaigrette
Turkey Meatloaf Platter (normally 16 but it was 10)-fresh ground turkey with red peppers, garlic & parmesan cheese, served with a roasted tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and sauteed veggies
Dinner was great and the outdoor seating was perfect looking. I really suggest making reservation (they are on opentable.com)
I will be going back! I suggest everyone to try it!
