UPDATE: Major improvements on the food since the first few trips. Definitely enjoyed my few visits. I don't quite view it as mexican food but whatever you want to call it, it's gotten good. Steak burrito was very tasty and loaded with more meat than you'd get in three burritos elsewhere. And, it was just quantity it was quality. Cooked perfectly (you can get the meat ordered to your preferred temp) and bursting with flavor. Not a mexican flavor so much as an almost Korean BBQ flavo which was delicious in my opinion and different from anything else around baltimore.
Enjoyed a good brunch there recently as well but don't understand why when i order the bottomless drink special I am locked into my original choice even if all other choices available on that special cost the same? Maybe the waiter wasn't given me the right info...

I really really want to like this place, It's super close to my house, the interior is a cool and comfortable Red Star clone and it's mexican food...but so far after two visits I don't care for it .
Guacamole should never have more filler (i.e. tomato, pineapple, onion, whatever) than actual avocado. And at 12 bucks for the smallest portioned trio of guac crammed with all that nonsense, I'm not willing to give it another try. I keep hearing this same from others who have also tried.
Pork & pineapple tacos for the entree. Once again more secondary ingredient present that the primary. Ratio of pineapple to pork was easily double to triple what it should have been. I even struggled to find the pork in the mix. The whole thing was overly sweet. It could have been on the menu as a dessert taco. Tasted like pineapple upside down cake and not in any way like pork or al pastor or any other mexican dish.
Other entree was one of the pizzas. mediocre at best. can't even recall what exactly it was now....That says it all i guess.
Went back and had HH drinks a few days ago w/awful bar service/experience. not friendly or welcoming, especially considering they place was more or less empty except for some couple most likely meeting there via eHarmony or Match or something. We all received the worst alcohol pours I've seen and that's counting the airport bars with the mechanical regulators. The bartender may have actually spilled more liquor onto the bar with quick sloppy pours than actually ended up in our drinks. Given that, we rolled out to Mustang's after just one round. Mustang's was packed , loads of fun, and had great service. I hope Diablita can get there too.
2 strikes.

I always start with the guacamole. My favorite is the traditional. The chips are fantastic, as they are more than just your standard tortilla chips that come out of a bag. There are 4 or 5 different types of chips, which accordingly to our server are hand cut and fried in the kitchen.
I've had several of the tacos and the burritos. The Steak Burrito is by far my favorite. The steak itself is really flavorful and the crispy onions are a nice compliment. My favorite taco is the Pork & Pineapple, which had a generous amount of pulled pork and a nice serving of grilled pineapple--just enough to give it a sweetness without being overpowering.
Thanks to Thursdays being $5 Margaritas, I've had almost all of the margaritas at this point. I wasn't a fan of the Spicy Cucumber, but my friend seemed to like it. My favorite is the Classic which is pretty strong and the Mango which is ultra-smooth. I've tried their sangria as well. Both are tasty, although I prefer the Red to the White.
Overall, if you're looking for quality Mexican food and a cool atmosphere, this is definitely the place (for me, at least).
