Okay despite the fact that I - A) Don't drink coffee, B) Don't really have much of an interest in any of their sandwiches or salads (can we get the ham and swiss baguette back please?) and C) Don't understand why Mix 106.5 is playing so often in a "hip" urban coffee joint - I really like The Daily Grind.

The service is friendly and the free Wi-Fi is a godsend when you need to get out of the house or the office for a little remote workday action (take note, Starbucks - FREE). I usually order up a bagel and stay for a couple hours before I lose all productivity. Never too noisy or mobbed. it's a great option for telecommuters.

Good coffehouse standby when you need a spot to do some work or talk some business (free wifi). Plenty of seating and some comfy couches as well. These guys are big on the snacks...Dangerously Delicious Pies, Junior's cheesecake and I just saw a Moxley's ice cream banner when I drove by today. Coffee is just average.

The one thing they do have -- for better or worse -- is personality. They're located in an old firehouse and they took that theme to the extreme, complete with mannequins in fire suits sliding down poles and old fire photos and murals lining the walls. There's also the two random creepy Blues Brothers statues in sitting poses that guard the front entrance. The last time I was there I witnessed a couple twentysomethings doing things to Dan Ackroyd that would make even Jim Belushi blush.

The Daily Grind has awesome coffee, free internet, great place to do anything from wait for clients to putting together requirements for awesome websites. This place has it all including a service with a smile.
