Now I can't tell you about normal dinners here but I can tell you about the Sunday dinners that they do at Cinghiale. I am a big fan of Cindy Wolf restaurants and this is one of my favorites. The Sunday dinner's offer a set menu for $29 a person. You can go up during the anti-pasta portion and choose from any of 6 items that they have that usually change weekly or with the season. All are usually excellent. Afterwards you get to choose your main course, usually there are 2 to 3 choices. Again the food is excellent and the portions are definitely large enough to fill you up. Then you get dessert and while there is no choice for this course I have never had one that I didn't like.

beautiful decor, excellent service, but the food's just not my thing. i prefer simple flavors ... i think they over complicate the dishes. however, the wine and cheese selection is wonderful.

Elegant, evocative, open, airy space. Prime location. Food is exceptional for its clean, refined understatement. Wine selection is excellent; cocktails are superb. Moneyed Harbor East crowd is expectedly annoying.

The food was great. When we called to make reservations they asked us which side of the restaurant we wanted to sit on. I was unaware of a difference so I told the hostess it didn’t matter. When we got there we saw it did matter, it would have been nice if the hostess explained it to us. There are two sides to the restaurant. There is a more casual side near the bar which is accompanied by a lower cost and “less fancy” menu, and then a more upscale side which has a menu to match. We were able to order from either menu, and we ended up ordering from the more upscale version. The food was fantastic, great beer and wine selection. If you chose they will match a different wine per course, which is always nice. If you were going on a date and wanted to be more intimate I would suggest the more upscale side of the restaurant. The casual area is a bit loud and in the open.
