It is ALL THINGS CLAY, a local treasure with an international reputation located in two renovated buildings on opposite sides of the street in Mt. Washington. Clayworks has hands on classes, studio space, huge gas and woodfiring kilns, and things to buy - handmade by Clayworks' collective of professional artists. What you don't see in Mount Washington is the impact and reach that Baltimore Clayworks has throughout the city. BIG mural projects, classes for kids in the grittiest urban neighborhoods, partnerships and supporting projects with churches, schools and community centers - Pimlico and Sandtown, to mention two current ones.
